Studio Q Furniture

Quaker House Furniture, founded by my uncle Clyde "Pete" Lail and run by his son, Gary, has changed its name to Studio Q Furniture.

New Web site, www.studioqfurniture.com, is coming soon.

The name change for the comapny based in Hickory, N.C., was announced in late July.

From the July 22, 2007, Charlotte Observer:

Last year during NeoCon World's Trade Fair, the company launched a designer series of select seating and complementary tables under the name Studio Q.

Quaker Furniture also formed Healthscapes to encompass all of its health-care products.

This page on the existing Web site explains the a bit about the original Quaker name and the company.
