The plastics company managed by my dad (Jack C. Lail) and brother (Dean) has made an acquisition:

From the Triad Business Journal:

Sapona Plastics LLC of Asheboro has purchased the assets of Whit Corp., located in Ramseur.
The companies will consolidate manufacturing operations during August and, when complete, will have about 65 workers. Whit's line of grill brushes, cleaning brushes and other products will be manufactured at Sapona's facility.
Sapona is a manufacturer of custom-injection molded products for various markets, including personal care, consumer, construction and automotive. Jack Lail is the CEO. W. Michael Whitaker, president of Whit Corp., is staying on as part of Sapona.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
