Lenoir-Rhyne gets Lail gift

Leroy and Lynn Lail of Hickory, N.C., have donated $25,000 to the Charles M. Snipes School of Business and the renovation of Mauney-Schaeffer halls at Lenoir-Rhyne College in Hickory.

Leroy Lail is chairman and CEO of Hickory Furniture Mart and serves as president of International Association of Holiday Inns. Lynn owns Holiday Inn Express and Piedmont Designs. She also serves as a Catawba County Commissioner. The Lails have been instrumental in the development and promotion of the travel, tourism and furniture industries in the greater Hickory Metro area, according to a college news release.

Leory is a former college trustee and Lynn Lail is serving in her second term as a trustee.
