Centenary College of Louisiana's freshman softball pitcher Ashley Lail is making an immediate impact.
Over the weekend, Centenary lost the first two games of a tournament at Auburn, but rebounded to beat the Big Ten's Minnesota 4-2 and No. 17-ranked Auburn 9-6.
Lail pitched Centenary, which is in Shreveport, to both wins on Sunday, posting a 2.41 ERA and striking out 15 hitters.
Ashley played high school in Fort Worth, Texas.
